AWC has partnered with Red Wing Environmental Learning Center (ELC) to bring more wildlife and conservation opportunities to kids of all ages. Scholarships are available to sponsor youth wishing to participate in several ELC hunting and fishing programs.

Prerequisite: Complete the Hunter Education/Firearms Safety Certification for Youth online course. Allow at least 4-5 hours to complete the online course.
Youth firearm safety courses for hunters aged 12-17 focus on safe handling, storage, and responsibility.

AWC has partnered with the Montana Boone & Crockett Club and Theodore Roosevelt Ranch to offer a unique opportunity for youth to head west this summer! We are looking for youth participants n Boone and Crockett Outdoor Adventure Camp!
To select scholarship winners, we conduct an essay contest on the theme, "How do responsible hunting and fishing practices contribute to the long-term health of our wildlife, and how will you lead others in these conservation efforts after returning from the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch?"

The Alliance for Wildlife & Conservation sends 12 youth and 4 chaperones to participate in a waterhole project in the remote Arizona mountains to gain a greater appreciation for conservation and natural resources. The camp affords the selected youth a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a natural setting.
To select the 12 youth, we conduct an essay contest on the theme, "who benefits from wildlife conservation and why." AWC encourages youth between the ages of 14-18 years to enter our essay contest to be eligible for an all-expense paid educational trip to help construct or reconstruct a waterhole.
The lucky winners of the essay contest are provided with air transportation from the Minneapolis Airport to the nearest airport in Arizona, group transportation to camp, return flight, equipment, supplies, meals, and tents are provided.
Our camp is set up in the remote deserts of Arizona and we participate in waterhole catchment development and redevelopment projects. Learn about the importance of water sources in these arid landscapes, and get your hands dirty as you help build and maintain vital water catchments for wildlife.
